Last Sunday morning, at around 11:30, an entire family entered heaven together. Jamison and Kathryne Pals and their small children were driving from Minneapolis to Colorado for final preparations as missionaries to Japan. They planned to leave in October. But in an interstate construction zone in western Nebraska, a semi truck rear-ended the family’s vehicle.

I don't know how familiar you are with Japan. For my two teammates, John and Caleb, it was their first time in Japan and my third time to visit.

Counseling is not a part of the culture in Japan. But being wounded is. This has been a challenging truth to witness in Japanese society. There are beautiful, glorious parts of Japan's culture, and there are the parts of Japanese culture that prompt us to remember that the healing of Christ is desperately needed here.

We often get questions about service needs we have at CBI. We're very thankful for the interest and want to use this blog as a way to post particularly relevant opportunities. Those who minister among the unreached face a daily daunting task. Thousands, ten thousands, and even millions of people who are loved and dear to our hearts, have no hope and are without God in the world (Eph 2:12). They need to hear and believe the life-changing message of the Gospel.
