CBI Ministries

Christ Bible Institute is an umbrella organization that consists of various component ministries.

Christ Bible SeminaryChrist Bible Seminary (CBS) is the theological education component. It offers the Master of Divinity degree, the Master of Arts degree, and a Certificate in Christian Studies. CBS is currently an associate member of the Asia Theological Association and is working towards full accreditation. In addition to their ministry roles, some staff members take courses at the seminary.

Christ Bible Center (CBC) is the lay training arm of CBI. CBC began in 2004 with classes held in three locations around Aichi prefecture. Because of limited personnel, we have not been able to offer separate CBC classes recently. Instead, some seminary courses have been opened to lay persons. As our human resources grow, we hope to offer separate CBC classes again in the future.

Christ Bible Institute Press (CBIP) is the publications branch of CBI. CBIP currently has many exciting opportunities to introduce high-quality Christian books in Japan. We are currently waiting and trusting the Lord for more financial and human resources before pursuing further CBIP development.

Heart & SoulHeart & Soul is a contemporary worship event for young Christians and non-Christians held in downtown Nagoya. Heart & Soul is held quarterly and features praise bands from neighboring churches or the Heart & Soul band. Themes revolve around issues pertaining to the hearts of young people like love, joy, peace, etc. Between 150 and 180 people have been gathering for Heart & Soul, the largest regular meeting of young Christians in the Nagoya area.

All Nations FellowshipAll Nations Fellowship (ANF) is an English worship service that began in June of 2008. It is led by CBI in partnership with Nisshin Christ Church, Nagoya Zion Christ Church, Lakeview Church, and Oyumino Church. ANF endeavors to honor Christ through excellence in biblical preaching, heartfelt worship through contemporary praise music, and life-engaging, theologically rich Sunday school. ANF has had more than 90 people at its 4 p.m. Sunday services. As the average church size in Japan is about 30-35 people, ANF is very excited to see how the Lord is blessing this ministry. ANF also provides an important training ground for CBS students.
